MY WORK
I am part of the IFF scent ingredients team that designs and synthesizes the sustainable fragrance ingredients of the future. This task is made possible by using cutting edge tools, technologies and resources, many of which we are not taught about in school! I am lucky in that IFF gives me the opportunity to combine deep technical understanding with chemical creativity to create unique, value-added solutions for our customers and consumers.
INSPIRATION
The most exciting and rewarding part of my job is knowing that the molecules I discovered with my own hands become scents that consumers enjoy and appreciate every day in the various products they use. Our research confirms that scents have transformative effects on everyday experiences. Some of our most beloved memories are scent- related. It’s powerful to create such enduring products.
