IFF perfumers are a collective of artists who awaken creation. They craft invisible masterpieces to make the world a better place to live in.
From Paris to New York, Sao Paulo to Mumbai, Amsterdam to Shanghai, Mexico to Singapore and on to Grasse and Dubai, IFF perfumers craft scents for small niche markets to iconic global brands, for fine perfumery to laundry detergents, for scented candles to shampoos.
IFF perfumers elevate the power of scents for consumers around the world by embedding sustainable innovation into creation with the help of iconic scent molecules , LMR Naturals, and innovative delivery systems. With access to 40 years’ understanding of the relationship between scents and emotions, combining billions of data-science points with the latest advances in neuroscience, they awaken emotions through scents.
IFF's L’Atelier du Parfumeur in Grasse
L’Atelier du Parfumeur is an ode to scent creation: an artist residence offering perfumers from around the world an inspiration haven. Erected on top of an haute-perfumery production site, where every single fragrance is compounded by hand in the pure tradition of perfumery heritage, it is located within steps of LMR Naturals and its experimental field. Located in Grasse, recently added to the UNESCO world heritage for its perfumery know-hows, it’s a testimonial of IFF’s commitment to perfumery excellence through ingredients, creation, and production.
L’Atelier du Parfumeur, Grasse
IFF and its Atelier du Parfumeur offer our perfumers and brands a haven for creation, interactions and collaborations. It is a living space, designed for innovation and perpetual evolution, incubating olfactive topics, new business models, and adaption to the discoveries and inspirations it prompts. Each piece of vintage furniture was handpicked for its history and each gesture naturally merges technology with craftsmanship, heritage, and modernity.
The Atelier du Parfumeur is intended to inspire, question, and unite both industry experts, and broader audiences, by allowing the public to meet perfumers engaged in their art during open-door sessions.
The IFF Livings™
In 1985, Dr. Bradja Mookherdjee, a passionate believer in the unique beauty of naturals, invented the Living Flower technology. Through the use of Solid Phase Micro Extraction, he enabled us to capture and study the aroma components of a flower at its peak to recreate its fragrance.
Today, Mookherdjee’s legacy can be clearly seen throughout the IFF Botanical Gardens on the IFF R&D campus in Union Beach, New Jersey. The largest botanical garden with scents, it contains over 2,000 plants that aid in continuous research and allow us to further explore the beautiful world of naturals.
