Pauline Teunissen, Ph.D.
Global Applications Director, Grain Processing – Health & Biosciences
Pauline Teunissen has served as the Global Applications Director for Grain Processing, Health & Biosciences at IFF since July 2020. She has over 15 years of technical leadership experience in grain processing and leads the Grain Processing application teams for Latin America, North America, EMEA, and ASPAC. She is responsible for the technical product and application development and customer support for the different regions.
Teunissen joined IFF (Genencor) in 2000 in the Research & Development organization in Leiden, Netherlands, as a scientist focused on developing biochemical/screening assays for new enzyme development. She built the foundation for the high-throughput screening laboratory in our R&D facility in Leiden. In her next assignment, she constructed the EMEA Grain Applications Laboratory to manage a team of scientists who specialize in grain research. Teunissen was also responsible for customer support and product development in the region.
In 2011, Teunissen relocated to Palo Alto, California, U.,S.A., where she was Grain Applications Research leader and R&D project portfolio leader, focusing on the development of novel enzyme and yeast solutions for the grain processing industry.
Teunissen has published and holds numerous patents and research papers.
